Advanced Lens Technology

While fashionable frames are fun, the truly important part of your eyeglasses are the lenses inside.

Your lenses are what keep you seeing clearly. At Bauer & Clausen Optometry, we’re committed to providing the highest standard of technology, quality and performance.

What’s more, we only carry lenses from superior manufacturers including Essilor, Shamir, Crizal and Transitions.

One Size Does Not Fit All

Your vision needs are unique. Our eye doctors and opticians work to find the right solution for your specific needs:

  • Single-Vision Lens
Corrects vision at a single distance, either near or far, across the entire lens.
  • Multifocal Lens
Lenses that have multiple prescriptions in one lens to help people see at different distances, such as bifocal or trifocal.
Options for multifocal lenses include lined lenses to visually distinguish the different prescriptions or progressive lenses which gradually blend different powers within the lens.
  • High-Definition Lenses
Using leading-edge optic technology, high-definition lenses are customized to the size, shape and fit of your specific frame, providing the sharpest image possible.

Lens Enhancements

Depending on how you plan to wear your glasses, you may wish to enhance your lenses and your vision.

  • Anti-reflective Lenses
Also called “non-glare” lenses, anti-reflective lenses reduce glare from overhead lights and other sources, including a  computer monitor or other digital devices. They will also improve eye comfort and vision clarity for night-time driving.
  • Transition Lenses
If you want the convenience of a single pair of glasses for use indoors and outdoors, consider transition lenses. Available in gray, brown, and fashion colors, the lenses automatically darken in response to UV rays while being virtually clear indoors or at night.
  • Polarized Lenses
You can transform your favorite frames into a perfect pair of sunglasses by adding polarized lenses. With a variety of tint options to choose from, polarized lenses provide UV protection while filtering the sun’s glare off water, snow and ice.
